4Creative is the in-house creative agency at Channel 4. This project was part of an agency-wide rebranding, working closely with their design team. The work was primarily consulting on the UI/UX part of the website and how to translate the new look and feel in a digital context. This also extended to some of the frontend animation and behaviour to user interactions.

On hover, the 4C logo cycles through the many logo variations

A central part of the repositioning was to place the iconic 4 icon front and centre. This anchors the identity as a core part of Channel 4, with each member of the 4creative team designing their own 'C' to bring everything together and communicate the diversity and creativity of the work they do.

Animating details

We wanted small details of animation throughout, and hidden bits of interaction. These are some of the hover states of the navigation, for example.
Hovering on projects makes them move randomly, and sometimes unexpectedly. We worked to add hidden elements throughout the site.

Cutouts of iconic people, objects or props from various shows can be used throughout the site. These are clickable and can be swapped and randomly selected to create unexpected and new combinations.
