A music festival that took over Dalston for two days each year, Land of Kings brought together artists, creatives, record labels and performers from in and around the area. A single wristband gave access to hidden venues, theatres, basements and bunkers in and around Dalston. Working closely with the team at Kingdom Collective, each year we iterated and updated the identity to reflect a new theme.

For each year of the festival, there was a new theme. Illustrator Colin Henderson evolved the visual identity each time to reflect this. That was then rolled out across printed media, posters, the website, signage throughout the area. The whole of Dalston was taken over for two days.

Having had a year off in 2014, we teased the return of the festival long before the lineup or other details emerged.

Land of Kings / Land of Kids 2013

In 2013, the festival ran over two days, with the second day being a family focused event, called Land of Kids. It was essentially a family version of Land of Kings, with performance, theatre, and children's activities.

Bespoke Typeface

Slow Club
Factory Floor

We created a bespoke display typeface for typography and signage during the event and for other select designs. This complemented the illustration style, and was consistent across each iteration of the festival, complementing other changeable typography each year.
